Many people notice their anxiety is strongest in the morning. Everything you are anticipating comes flooding into your mind all at once and, understandably, your body responds. You might wake up with a pit in your stomach or overwhelm that rushes from your head to your toes. This is your body in flight or flight mode.
Morning therapy sessions offer a great opportunity to unpack your worries in real time. We are able to practice regulation and problem solving skills all before your day kicks off.

I offer sessions as early as 4am CT Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5am CT on Mondays and Wednesdays.

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to feel fully “on” to have a successful session. We start wherever you are and work towards where you want to be. Many clients find that even if they feel a bit groggy at first, they settle in quickly.
You will notice that I often have a cup of coffee with me, so feel free to bring yours!
Meet Haley Alexander, LPC, LMHC
Anxiety and Burnout Counselor in McKinney, TX
Hi, I’m Haley. I work with adults who often wake up already feeling behind, worn down by anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout that slowly drains their energy and sense of self. Mornings can feel overwhelming before the day has even begun, and you might find yourself pushing through while feeling irritable, disconnected, or running on empty. Even when you do rest, it doesn’t always feel like enough.
That’s why I offer morning therapy sessions, a space to slow down before the demands of the day take over. Having seen the toll that high-stress work environments, busy schedules, and parenting can take, I understand how burnout builds over time. Our time is to check in with what your mind and body are telling you, respond with awareness and acceptance, and create boundaries, habits, and tools that support your energy and align with your values.
