Growth happens here—not because you're broken, but because you're ready to live more fully.
Do you ever feel like you’re pushing through cycles of overthinking and emotional exhaustion, lying awake replaying conversations, second-guessing yourself, or feeling like your mind never fully shuts off? I know that, over time, the stress builds. It could feel like constant tension in your body, a shorter fuse with the people you care about, or the sense that you’re running on empty but can’t seem to stop or reset.
I’m Haley- An anxiety and burnout therapist in McKinney, Texas that works with adults who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, stress, and emotional exhaustion and want to learn to regulate their emotions so they feel like themselves again.
I don’t expect you to have to have it all figured out. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, mental load, relationship strain, or feeling stretched too thin by the weight of life, we’ll take a closer look at what you’re carrying and how it’s affecting you. We’ll observe the patterns without judgement and build tools that help you respond with more regulation, confidence, and self-compassion.
Acceptance is my name, Values are my game.
Like you, I understand those seasons of challenge, sacrifice, burnout, and eventually, the search for something different. As a military spouse, mom, and practice owner, I’ve experienced firsthand how easy it is to take on so much responsibility and shame myself for feeling overwhelmed or irritable.
That’s what led me to create Compass Care Counseling. It’s grounded in one simple truth: healing begins when you make space for what you’re carrying without judgement.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy saying “I can’t seem to regulate my emotions. I shouldn’t be like this.” They feel like they’re coming undone. Their mind feels constantly busy, looping through the same thoughts, second-guessing decisions, or anticipating what could go wrong. Even when nothing is happening, their body stays tense, on edge, or unable to fully relax. Sometimes, they don’t even know how to relax.
Maybe you notice yourself feeling more irritable than you want to be, snapping at the people you care about or withdrawing because everything feels like too much. Small things feel overwhelming. Your patience is shorter. Your energy is gone.
I want to help you understand what’s happening underneath all of this, not just cope with it on the surface. My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and DBT-informed approaches, helping you build awareness, connect to your values, and respond more mindfully to distress. First, we begin to identify the patterns that keep you stuck in anxiety and burnout, the pressure you’re carrying, and the ways your mind and body have learned to respond to stress. Most importantly, shedding the guilt and shame, and learning to simply observe ourselves.
Then we begin to look at value based changes that will move you towards your most fulfilling life. That might look like learning how to relate differently to anxious thoughts so they don’t take over your day, building awareness of your emotional responses so you can regulate instead of react, or creating boundaries that protect your time and energy without the constant guilt.
My hope for you? To see you build a life that feels more meaningful, where you can experience joy and meet yourself with compassion instead of criticism.

I am an Anxiety Therapist located in McKinney, TX and I’m ready to connect with you!
I’m a mom, military spouse, and business owner who finds a lot of joy in the everyday rhythms of life. Most days, you’ll find me at the gym, spending time with my 4-year-old, running my practice, or traveling the world. I’m naturally driven, but also playful and a little silly, and my friends would say I bring both honesty and encouragement wherever I go. My family and I love to travel and experience new places together, and that sense of adventure, shaped by the military lifestyle, is a big part of who I am.
Long before I became a therapist, I was what my parents called a “tender heart bear.” Even as a young child, I had an ability to sit with my own emotions and make sense of what I was feeling. I could name what was bothering me and what I needed without much prompting. At the same time, I carried a deep empathy for others. I’ve always been someone people come to when they need to be heard, understood, or gently guided.
Over time, that turned into a deep curiosity about people, why we feel what we feel, why we do what we do, and how our experiences shape us.
My time in the Army strengthened my ability to face hardship and showed me just how important our emotional lives really are. I’m a proud veteran, and I carry that experience with me in how I show up, with resilience, directness, and a deep respect for what people carry.
I believe deeply in emotional vulnerability. Our humanness isn’t something to hide. It’s something to understand, make space for, and care for. I’ve lost too many people to suicide not to speak openly about that.
Being a therapist isn’t something I became. It’s something I’ve grown into. It’s an extension of who I’ve always been, someone who can sit with hard things, stay present, and help others find their way back to themselves.
