Fees & Payment

Taking the first step toward therapy is a big deal, and understanding the cost shouldn’t make it harder. I want you to know exactly what to expect, so you can focus on getting the support you deserve. If you have any questions about fees or payment, I’m always happy to talk them through.

Therapy Fees & Payments

Payment is due at the time of service. When you begin therapy, I ask that you keep your preferred debit card, credit card, HSA card, or FSA card on file through the secure SimplePractice client portal. It makes payment easy and lets us focus on what matters most: you.

Accepted Payment Methods

I accept debit cards, credit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards. Your card is kept securely on file through SimplePractice and charged after each session.

Session Fees

  • Individual therapy: $150 per [50] minute session

  • Couples therapy: $165 per [50] minute session

  • Free 15 minute consultation: a short call to see if we’re a good fit before you commit

Sliding Scale

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on my current caseload. If cost is a barrier, please reach out. Inquiries are always welcome. You can fill out the sliding scale request form below, and I’ll let you know what’s available.

Insurance

I’m a private pay practice and don’t participate in insurance networks. That means I’m considered an out of network provider. Many clients choose private pay for the flexibility and privacy it gives them in their care.

Using Your Out of Network Benefits

Many insurance plans reimburse part of the cost of therapy with an out of network provider. Here’s how it works:

  • Monthly superbills: You’ll automatically receive a superbill each month through your SimplePractice client portal. A superbill is a detailed receipt with the information your insurance company needs.

  • Submitting for reimbursement: You can submit your superbill to your insurance company, and they’ll reimburse you directly based on your plan.

  • Checking your benefits: Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask these questions:

    • Do I have out of network benefits for outpatient mental health services?

    • What’s my out of network deductible, and how much of it have I met?

    • What percentage of the cost will be reimbursed after my deductible?

    • Do virtual sessions qualify?

    • How do I submit a superbill?

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, and I understand that plans change. To cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 business hours of notice. Cancellations made with less notice, and missed sessions, are charged a $140 fee. This allows me to keep the business healthy and offer services to others who need them.
